I don’t know about you but I’m at the tail end of a long holiday weekend and I just realized, I have not posted in forevaaaar. No use apologizing, I’m just going to make up for it with this triple feature. I want to show you some awesome pieces from three of my favorite stores; katat0nik, Show Me on the Doll and House of Munster. I recruited my good friend and fellow addict, Sunder Nitely to help with the photos. I challenge you to go to each of these stores and -not- find something that you must have. katat0nik and Show me on the Doll are both filled with unique clothing, shoes, hair and more. I can't get enough of the dream-like textures from katat0nik creator, Katat0nik Pidgeon and I can't stop drooling over the pony and ballet boots from Show me on the Doll by Putrid Gloom. I'm especially excited to tell you that Lolli Munster has recently reopened House of Munster after a few unfortunate sim fails; replenish your lindens and go see her shop, you will want it all and you won't regret it.

I've been a fan of Munchflower's for going on 5 years now and she continues to amaze us with her talent. Munchflower's unique style shines through in her latest line of skins, Mosaic. I popped over to Nomine for the skin and had to have the milkmaid dress as well.

Completing the look with hair from Tiny Bird that I grabbed at the Second Style Island giveway, Kookie's boots, my favorite Miel stockings and the post-it note from Awesome Blossom's Humpday this week!

Simple Kitteh

I am all about the comfort so most often if you see me you will find me running about the grid in jeans and a simple top. So I thought I would share what I would consider a typical days outfit.

This skin is slightly lighter then my old skin but it fits me much better so now I am a paler kitteh as it has become my norm. The tank is so simple but at the same time sexy and so well made you can almost feel the ribbed fabric, the jeans are some of my favorites they look worn in without being trashed, soft and comfortable fitting my every curve. I am never without my paws or ears & tail they are as much apart of me as my shape.

A Simple Thank You

I think most of us that have been in Second Life for, oh, say more than a day?--have become disillusioned at some point. Be it a friend or lover, someone has affected us deeply enough to say, really, do I need this?? That happened to me recently. No, I won't be dragging out the pile of laundry. I bring it up only to say..

What about the other folks? What about those that affect you deeply enough to keep you here? What about those that make a difference, whether it's a publicized grid wide difference, or whether it's something only YOU know about. That thing that may seem so small to them but brings you back off the ledge? Well, I had that happen to me today.

Two people that I know have made my day a lot brighter.

Munchflower Zauis, whom I've admired since I came to Second Life (matter of fact my very first skin came from Munch <3) released some fabulous doll skins. I drool over Munch's work quite often, and while it's very affordable, I've cut my spending in Second Life to pretty much nil due to the loss of a 1st life job and the sagging SL economy. When I saw her latest, I commented on them, possibly drenching plurk with my drool, but knowing that I couldn't afford them. I logged in a bit later to find that Munch had sent me a gift.

The dollskins excel in creativity, variety and workmanship, traits found in all of Munchflower's work.

The poses I'm using are today's other "thank you".

I should tell you up front, I'm not a blogger. I'm not a writer at all. Sometimes I'm lucky if I can do more than wave my hands around wildly while trying to find words. However, I am going to muddle through on this blog and hope that my pretty pictures distract you from my lack of creative writing.

The new skin from Staged is really lovely. First thing I did was take a good look at collarbones, hands, checked for seams etc and all looked great from my perspective. There was a little shading on the spinal area that seems a tiny bit blotchy, but really, unless you're trying to find things wrong with it, I don't think you'll notice. The makeups are gorgeous. I think for runway type pictures these would work really well as the makeup is on the more glamorous or dramatic side than on the softer side. In the pictures above I'm wearing the Cerra Natural and you can see the cheekbones even on the natural are dramatic.

I bet you'd love to pick up the hair and jewelry I'm wearing, wouldn't you? Well you CAN'T! At least, not yet. The Forget-Me-Knot set and The "Sandy" hair in Strawberry are from Fusemelon, a new venture by Aemilia Case. They'll be available soon, so take notes!

Soo... Today the wonderful Aura Falta of Tacky Star released some new stuffs... and after telling me my money was no good to her, she sent me over her amazing new Lolligagger skins and I felt obligated to blog them. :D They're awesome, as always. It's kind of funny how you make really nice discoveries in Second Life™ sometimes. Naive is a store full of very cool clothing, which is enticingly affordable, too. I put together a couple of summer looks from the latest releases...

I love the vibrant colours of both the Laleeta skirt and the Luna top used in each outfit. And, of course, I had to have the Fat Pack of Luna tops with the beautiful hibiscus flowers on them!! ;-)

I jazzed them up with a bit of my own jewelry and Voila! hot summer day/night looks are all sorted! I'll definitely be back for frequent Naive fixes. :-)

Like many of you, I started the Through the Looking Glass Hunt. Upon searching endlessly for wayy too small mirrors, I stumbled upon the lovely and talented Hybrid Ansar. She was also hunting, and as she never seems to sleep, she was farther than I was and was helping in the group IM with hints. And... shes pretty much made of awesome! Hybrid owns a great shape shop called Savoir Faire, and has proven to be a worthy shopping buddy. While shopping, I also met Hyb's friend Aura Falta who owns a cute little store, Tacky Star, with some really awesome eyes and some shapes. Being as both of these awesome chicks threatened to beat me if i PAID for anything, I've gotten freebies from them both, and decided to shamelessly plug my new great friends' creations :D

Where's the robot?

Hello all, this is Ari. I'm not really sure how I ended up here, rubbing elbows with all these designer types and other such people, but might as well enjoy the ride! I run a little place called Silver Wheel, where I sell accessories mostly, but enough about that. let's get down to business.

Maybe it's because I haven't checked them in a while but I don't exactly recall seeing much gear on the fashion feeds oriented towards those of us who think silicon isn't just for fake boobs.
I don't know about you, but I just love to "droid it out" or however you like to call it when you dress up as a robot. And there's a lot of ways to do it too, you don't have to be a prim heavy monstrosity to pull off a nice cyber-look. Allow me to demonstrate.

There you have it, a rockin' robot look and not at all prim heavy. Granted, I haven't exactly checked my ARC but I don't think it will be that bad.
All I did was just combine parts with standard clothes out of my inventory. Stuff that could also be worn "straight" so to speak and with a normal skin/eye set/hair. Let's break it down piece by piece.

First of all we have this spectacular helmet from Paradox which comes in two versions, full face and respirator. Both come with a cool particle breathing effect and animated textures on the colored parts.
The hair and choker (which you can't really see here) are both from Forsaken.
The eyes are House Of Ruin's Android eyes in Cornflower. I can't recommend this place enough, they got all sorts of eyes, prim and system, and they all kick ass!

One of my favorite things to add when going robot is a jetpack of some sort. The one you see right here is from this lovely little place called Wewiya. Whenever you take to the skies, glowy neon wings flow from those triangle shaped exhausts. Best part of all? It was free.

Another staple of my cyber looks, big glowy robot hands! I got these at Tigerclaw, which I found during the Bunny Hop (which I didn't really do, I must have visited 30 shops at most. this was one of them). Tigerclaw is just ripe with all sorts of cyber goodies, some are free like these hands, some are not, like the last piece of this ensemble.

If you did the Bunny Hop hunt, chances are you probably have the khaki/green version of these boots/legs thingies. After that hunt ended, I started checking Tigerclaw on and off, hoping more colors would be released. Lo and behold, black/blue ones! and there's also a black/red set at the very modest price of 200L.

This is all very nice and good but all this would just be prims on a naked av if it wasn't for the clothes I wore with them. Like I said, even simple clothes will work. I used Fukmi's Varsity Jacket (in blue, of course) and Deviance's Leather Pants (in black), basically a perfectly normal outfit.
Speaking of skin, the one I'm wearing is Alpha Tribe's Blue Vector. Alpha Tribe is home to the best Eloh mods I've seen yet, as well as some really really unique avs.

Review:

I tend to do my outfits around colours and themes. I never really know how things will work, it'll be a 10 minute flurry, then BAM!

This feature I decided to take one outfit, from a store I love called Deviance, and make 2 totally different looks with it. Featured here is the Fantasy Warrior outfit.

Fantasy Warrior-Part 1-Tempral Space Demoness

I'm a demon most days. Unless I'm designing, then horns just get in the way of the hair. I find recently it's getting harder to find unique horns. there are many great horns out there, but people seem to all gravitate towards the same thing, and I'm so not a Sheep. My tail, horns and eyes are all from a place called Black Heart. This store is one of those places you get so excited when you find. It's already semi established, so there is enough product to shift thru, but not really know, so you find what seems to be your own very special gem. The quality of the products are A++. I would say that most of the products are Cyber/Techy in theme. You can't beat the tail either, there are very few places I've seen anything made for scorpions.

Often times you want to properly showcase certain items, like these horns I'm wearing, so with the hair I decided against a full head of hair(which would have been very un-Helena like anyways). Allegory is a sculpted mohawk style which badass enough, without poking any ones eyes out(though you still can, if you really wanted to). Named after Allegory Malaprop, this hawk is definantly mean in green, but here I used Nickle Tipped. You can get this mohawk at the new home of The Stringer Mausoleum on Aurora Isle.*Hint--->This style will be on sale soon, as a pre-Hairfair 2009 dealie*

I matched all this stuff with a skin from Reaktor Omega. I got a tip about this place from one of my store models and the place didn't disappoint. The skins are creatively crafted and at affordable pricing, for the quality you get. The black and blue version of the snake skin was perfect for me, it got snagged right up!

Sometimes you buy something, don't have a clue what you'll ever use it for, but it's just something you must have. My inventory is filled with those. One of my most recent of these is this jewelry set from Tekeli-li. Buying the sets from this place is worth it, you often get a headpiece, necklace, bracelets, earrings and buttplug. Okay not the buttplug, but you get the idea. They are also very VERY customizable. You can change the colour of gems, colour of metals, swirliness, glowiness, buttplug action. Okay sorry you latex lovers, no buttplug action! I'm being a meanie! You'll find many quality items at this shop, such as outfits and weapons, and they all have the same customizing features, so you can make it all matchy matchy.

The shoes are a basic heel from Maitreya. When you have other things you want the focus on, it makes no sense to have things big ass blinging boots on. Plus i can use these heels as a boomerang.

Fantasy Warrior-Part 2-Gate Keeper

Review:

It's nice when you find something in sl, that can be used so many different ways. I'll now show you the other vision I had when I first bought this Deviance outfit. A warrior by any other name would still be a warrior.

The rest of the pieces make for a completed look, the sword, cape and belt. Makes for very simple dress up, all you need to do after that is primp your hair and throw on some makeup.

Black. I'm not a fan of it in sl. With so many colours to be had, why would you wear black? so the few times that I do I of course play it up with colour. Here I chose a deep sea colour to finish the look.

Assassin is the hair I chose to top myself with. It's a very pose friendly hair, swishes slightly in the breeze. The colour I chose is called Deep, and you can get it in the new big ass home of The Stringer Mausoleum.

My skin is done by Fleur. This store I've been buying from since my sister introduced me to it. It was love at first try. I've been buying Fleur since that fateful day, and am now a Insider for their team. I get to think I'm all special and make itty bitty decisions and such! This is one of the few places I'll actually drop money, no questions asked. They have a diverse line of skins, catering to asian, drow, historic, goth and then the classic makeup line. There something for everyone here. People often comment on my love of Fleur, seeing as I'm a demon and all, but a true fashionista can take any one item, and transform it to their style no matter what it is. It's all about playing your cards right. Fleur skins mesh to my home made shape so lovingly that I could do noting but gush over the whole line.

Tuli crafted the eyes. I have a love/hate relationship with most eyes, even the ones I make myself. I love realistic, but also want that bloodshot look to them. All this no vein all white shit so does not make me a happy designer lady. Tuli brings it with all 4 of the sets she has out right now, bringing all points or realism into each colour.

A Cure for Triskaidekaphobia

For my first review, I spent the afternoon going through my inventory, trying to find -the- perfect store to tell you about. There are so many pieces in my overflowing, badly organized, soup of an inventory that I absolutely adore, but I came across the first thing I bought after I saw the light and clambered out of the freebie mall as a wee noob. My first coveted purchase was a pair of black and white striped socks with skulls on the knee from Ginger13 Kidd of i love 13. I am never disappointed when I wander through i love 13, I can always find an eclectic mix of necklaces, tattoos, clothing and accessories ranging from creepily ethereal to cutely punkish or torn and bloody. Ginger13 makes delightfully unexpected decisions that always seem so right. If you haven’t already bought everything in her store and started sending her note cards demanding that she make more amazing things for you to buy, I urge you to get started immediately! (Okay… except hold off on the demanding note card part… I don’t think there is such a thing as a “Restraining SLorder” but you probably don’t want to be the first…)

So without further ado, I give you… i love 13, and I really do.

This first dress is called dark Princess, I love the tiered, tattered skirt. The dress comes with net socks but I just had to pair it with -the- Skull Socks that started it all.

Last but certainly not least is Paperdoll. The skirt is textured with doll faces and comes in two versions, one with and one without PRIM DOLL PARTS on it! Of course, I am wearing the one with the doll parts, you can see a dangling leg and head along the front of the hem. This outfit comes with all the layers and you can wear the doll tank over or under the transparent striped top. I am wearing my blinking, Monsta Eyes shoes from Grim Bros, my Reed hair with color change prim octopus from Deviant Kitties and my Octoneck pendant from Kunstkammer. I’m so in love with all these pieces, I am still wearing this outfit and I’m not sure when I’ll take it off.

One of the best things about owning a mall....is that I get to see some awesome creativity from some great designers on the grid. It's dangerous on my linden balance so I have to have Lan tie me down in the house, but sometimes, while he's away....I go wander The Flounder and shop...shhhh dun tell him. =p

One of the newer designers at The Flounder hit the spot today as I was embracing my inner hippy. Manis Lane, of Mix 'n Match has lots n lots of awesome outfits, fat packs, and anything else under the sun you can think of, including skins and shapes. She's even got a little freebie box up in her shop called 'Various Avatar Needs' with skin, shapes and eyes and an outfit. These are the kind of freebies I like to see given out. I remember being new and the freebies back then...whew, not like they are now. Anyways, on to my inner hippy outfit. Enjoy *blows kisses*

Be gentle… it’s my First Time…

Hey everyone! I’m so honored and excited to have been invited to join the Matter of Taste team. Every day I have been watching the list of contributing designers grow and while I was gawking I realized… duh… I need to introduce myself!

My name is Azriel Ballyhoo but you can call me Azzy. I have been in SL for a year and a half and try as I might, I still haven’t seen it all. I am constantly amazed by the creativity and talent of content creators and I love that we have this environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to make and fly whatever freak flag they choose. SL embraces the spirit of my outlook on life, "Why the #!*$ not?!” Viva la weirdoes!

So a little more about me, I am half of the design team for Rara Avis. Our store has been open for almost a year now and I can hardly believe it. My design partner is none other than the adorable and talented Nineveh Teskat. I can’t miss the opportunity to share this Hallmark moment with you, Nineveh and I have been friends for over twenty years, we met in elementary school! We grew up terrorizing our mothers with our “art projects” so flash forward two decades and here we are still creating together and feeding each others crazy.

What can you expect to see from me? Hard to say, I usually surprise the hell out of myself. Last night I was a zombie, flying an umbrella on a large rotating pancake with a sexy neko and a little purple cat… pretty typical, actually… send me a NC if you want pics. ;) As for my style choices, I have eclectic tastes which you can see from my own designs. Nothing would seem more pointless to me than a hundred designers all making slight variations of the same outfit. Even though I make my own pieces and mooch copies of all of Nineveh’s work, I can’t stop shopping. I love finding unique pieces; things that make me say “I wish I had thought of that!” I have no idea where we are going my friends, but I promise I won’t steer you wrong.

Hi! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Heather Connolly - or hc to most - and I am Fukmi Sideways' partner in crime. While she spends her time in photoshop, I spend mine working with lots prims, and even more with SL issues. :) I've been in SL for about 2.5 years, and honestly never thought I'd still be here when i first DL'd. But I have lots of fun! From dancer, to club owner, to designer... I've done my fair share in this world. I love to keep busy and make new stuff. When I'm not busy, I'm shopping. It's an addiction and my inventory is generally out of control. I've tried 12-step programs, but they haven't done much. I design to keep me out of other stores, and keep my wallet full enough for the times I get distracted. ;) I'm totally excited to be a part of this! Stay tuned for more... :D

Hi gorgeous! For those of you that don’t know me my name is Kenzie Corleone and I’ve been in SL for about 3 years now. I have seen some thaaaaangs let me tell you. I have truly experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly in SL and yanno what….I still love it!

Just like so many in SL I started playing because a friend of mine drug me in here kickin and screaming because she said it was amaaaazing and I just haaad to try it out. Basically after that one night I never logged off :P I have been fortunate enough to meet the most outstanding people here, one of which is my husband :D We met here in SL and now we are very happily married RL <3>

I am the owner and designer behind :.UD.: (Urban Dysfunction) and RenderLife as well as the director and creator of The Keys to the VIP Hunt. I have dabbled in just about everything in SL from clubs to estate management and everything in between. I’m a create-a-holic and I usually have my hands in several different projects at once which I love.

The idea behind this blog is genius in my opinion and I’m so excited to be a part of this. Fashion in SL is ever changing and I hope to bring you some creative and fun reviews. Just a warning…my style is all over the place so you might be in for a crazy ride with me.

Peace Love 'n Orange Juice

Egads, I almost peed myself when I got the invite to help with Matter of Taste.
While I seem to have less and less time lately to spread around, I promise I'll do my best to bring you the craziness that I wander around the grid in...when I leave the sim. (I do sometimes!)

I've been in SL for just about 3 years, and creating for almost half of that. I wear in SL what I like to wear in my every day RL; casual, random fluky stuff. I had someone in SL tell me once that I should be making what 'sells' not what I'd wear. I've found this to be so untrue.
I'm a bit silly and it shows in everythign I do. (Including my AO where I'm constantly falling down, spinning in circles and wiping 'something' off my shoes. It gets so bad sometimes Fukmi resorts to telling people I'm drunk lol)

Fashion is all around us in SL. Even if you say you don't care about it, you're still making a fashion statement. What we wear defines who we are (or who we want to be) in both worlds....
This blog will prove to you just that. It's all a matter of taste. We all wear what we like to wear.

Enough about me, let's get on to why you're really here.
I really don't remember how I found this place. I know the first thing I bought from here was a blue dress that I wore for about a week straight lol.
The seams on her items match so well I've decided it's just magic ;) Her jeans are to die for and I love her shoes.
I speak of Decoy.
I've got on one of the Flava Pop Tanks in Citrus. Also from Decoy are the jeans and the shoes.
The hair...is one of my favorites, and it comes from GrittyKitty. Noam makes seriously awesome possum hair. This one is called Penny. It reminds me of my Saturday afternoons. The bandana is scripted to change colors, so it'll match just about anything you own.

Sitting on my tuffet

Well, actually it's a big piece of candy.

Howdy, I'm Lavea Alter from A-BOMB and I'm making my first official post. YAY! Coincidentally, it's about a Snatch item. Okay, not so coincidental. I've had a love affair with Snatch since I was just a wee SLer. Addi and I would drool profusely as we stared at the walls filled with fashiony goodness.

After I started my own shop, I was constantly turning to things Ivey made, wondering how she did it. It made me go out and actually *gasp* LEARN! I still look at her things and pull out my hair trying to figure out techniques. (Then I remember that I can just ask her, but usually not until I've lost several clumps of hair.)

Most of the time, I am wearing versions of whatever it is I happen to be working on that given moment. However, when I actually leave my workshop and don't want to look like a mismatched, shoeless freak, I always turn to my Snatch items. Honestly. I have very little in my inventory that isn't from Snatch. I'll dig up some of the nonSnatch items for future posts, but this one is all about the new Miss Muffet dress.

It was instant love. It's such a perfect summery dress. I have a dress similar to it IRL for summer. And just as I have no shoes on in my pics here, I normally don't have any on IRL. Sand and soft grass are far too magical to miss by wearing shoes. Besides, the Slink prim feet are took damn cute and I don't get to wear them often enough!

Rounding out are three of my other favorite things: Chai skins, Little Heaven hair and my Lovecats piercing set (and yes, that includes all the face piercings plus earrings...all on ONE attach point). This piercing set never leaves my face. I have to warn you...it's got a huge pink cat as a doorway and the pink continues into the store, but be brave. You can survive the pinkitude and find some great piercings. My set was only 100L.

The Chai skin I have on is the Ginger tone of Lavender. It's one of the older skins now being sold for 250L. I've tried the new skins and they just don't look right on me, but I'm finding that to be the case with alot of the newer skin shadings. But that's fine, I love my Chai skins and [42] skins. (Sorry I can't offer a SLURL to Chai, but TPs won't let me in. It's in Port Seraphine, though)

The Little Heaven hair I am wearing is Rosary Black. They have tons of really great styles and their shop is an amazing spooking build.

Perfection

I decided to do my first fashion post with a theme of perfection. There are several that come to me to show me their new designs, to get opinions, praise, critiques, whatever. And I do it willingly and humbly with encouragement at the forefront cause I don't believe that tearing someone down will EVER make them better. I am certainly not the creator to give advice on perfect designs. My own are far from it. I don't piddle at seams forever, I dont examine every square pixel for flaws. I believe that something can be exquisitely esthetically beautiful or cool in spite of imperfection and often because of it.

Today I'm spotlighting a creator who I think is often overlooked and yet consistantly worn by bloggers. I don't think I've seen a feature done on this amazing tattoo artist in a very long time so this is my hat (and the rest of my clothes) off to Danel Kurosawa of Garden of Ku Tattoos. I met Danel setting up a store almost two years ago and I already had all three of his first tatts. While we set up, we talked and he sent me another one. Since that day I have been his biggest fan and a constant supporter of his work and besides being awesome at what he does, he's an exceptionally nice person and truly humble. GoK tatts in my opinion are simply the absolute best and most diverse collection you can find in SL. From religeous themed to tribal to sci-fi, his gallery is as special and impressive a body of work as I have ever seen. Tattoos on every layer in variations of wear and some with shadows and multiple versions for pale and darker skin. The prices will often make you wide eyed with shock. Most full body tattoos are under $350 L!

Some may nit & pick and say the seams arent perfect...but I dare them to try and get closer themselves on that roll over the shoulder, or the space under the arm or between the legs where they give us 8 pixels to work with. When I wear a GoK tatt, which is almost all the time...I feel like a walking work of art and it doesnt HAVE to be perfection. I know from the hundreds of IMs I've gotten asking where they came from and the thanks from new GoK junkies how "perfect" they are.

Also featured in these pics are my friend Tyr Roszenblum's new skin line from Tyranny. Well known in the Gorean Community for her very cool clothing and accessories, she's now breaking into the skin trade and mainstream SL fashion with a huge selection of make ups for a start up and a really beautifully soft base that she agonizes over every day. Talk about wanting perfection, Tyr is obsessed. So expect to see a LOT from this fabulous new skin maker and be wowed by soft lush lips, dramatic eyes and lucious bodies in the future.

So... A fashion review blog by designers? Of course. Who sayes we can't do it too?

Some of you may know me, or maybe not. But I guarantee you will soon.

My name is Yukio Ida, and i've been around for maybe three years in SL, dabbling here and there. It wasn't until last year that I infiltrated your fashion communities. As some know, I have a hand in bringing the alternative fashion scene in Japan to our pixelated world. My inspiration and art, as I would dare call it, come from music and visual style. On top of owning a store, I also have played a role as a building teacher and consultant for several, as well as owning an in world magazine called Obscure Mode, and I also manage and run the blog for Vendor Support Month.

While Visual is mostly my direction, I am not blind to the talents and creative interest of other designers who also use this amazing platform to showcase their work. I hope to bring a large variety of things to the plate, as my interests widely vary in theme, mood, and genre.

Hi hi...to those of you know know me and the ones who have yet to, this is Ivey and I've been in SL for almost three years now and I'm still so enthusiastic about the medium we work in and play in and I see it's awesome potential even through tough issues and having to scale the occasional hurdle. So that being said, I'm fascinated by the relationships and complex dichotomies that make up the Second Life Fashion Community. I've seen the good, the bad, the irresponsible, ugly and the inspiring within one day of reading the fashion feeds. Plurk has even expanded on these, magnified them and rubbed them in.

My opinion on fashion is, like art, food or music that it's not what's good or what's in, it's what you LIKE. I don't think anyone has the right to dictate to me what is right for me to like and in turn I would never expect anyone to follow my trail and clone themselves after my personal taste. "Fashion" by it's own definition is fleeting, but style is all your own. We hope with this blog to cooperate, cross promote, network, show off, praise and encourage OUR favorite stuff, places and people. After all we're not just designers and creators, we are shoppers!

We don't think that promoting each other is a bad thing! It spreads good will, pumps the economy and gives a venue to those who are often overlooked by the "fashionista bloggers". I hope to show all the things I love and feature some designers that deserve the exposure and praise even if they're forgotten in the sometimes bloodthirsty pit that is the SL fashion scene.

So...welcome to those that have signed up for this very different project. I'm so proud to know such an awesome and diverse and talented group of people. Also big thanks to the man I love in SL and RL, Roblem Hogarth for this fantastic idea. All we ask is you show what you adore, help promote each other, be FLAWLESS and never berate or fault others for their likes because after all...It is a Matter of Taste.

Helena Stringer!

Hey Darlings. I jumped on the chance to get in on this blog. IVEY WANTED ME? OR ROBLEM? OR BOTH?

I'm a designer here in SL. My store is The Stringer Mausoleum(and Shrine). Ya I know it's a moniker. I am mostly a hair designer, tho I make anything I have a need for really. My store is a selfish one. I mostly make stuff for myself, and am just happy that others enjoy my craziness I pump out. I'm known for my mohawks, tho my dreaded styles are starting to come in close second. Other things I make? Eyelashes, Eyes, Skins, Horns, Demon parts, Wings, Hats, Piercings and a few other oddball products.

I'm excited where this blog will take me in the blog writing sense. My plans are to do some actual reviews, some travel, all while keeping it Stringerized. I'm also going to try and show you how something you might never wear, or think doesn't go with your style, can be used and spiced up. I might even take this further, and let you summit items for me to go buy and Stringerize. I've got a few other plans up my sleeves you all too! My much anticipated and perfectly timed feature of the week will be FrankenSn@tch. Basically I have always liked to mash up my Sn@tch outfits. People would always be "Where can I get that?" And I'd go "Oh Sn@tch". 30 minutes later I'd get the IM, "I couldn't find it!". That's when I'd pull out, it was FrankenSn@tched! People have been wanting me to blog them, due to the crazy recipes I use to make them. So on with the fun!

So here I am, to stay, and clutter your fashion feeds with my crazy take on fashion in sl. Maybe, maybe you'll just happen to learn some sort of something!

Hi everyone and welcome to Matter of Taste. My name is Roblem Hogarth and I create content in Second Life under the !ReToX! brand. My partner Ivey and I have wanted to do a Fashion and Design review blog for quite a while but knew we didn’t have the spare time to keep up with one on our own. Now with the help of some of the most creative content designers in SL we think we have a concept that will surprise you.
